After a stunning refurbishment to celebrate their 15-year anniversary of trading in Conisbrough, The Indus Restaurant are proud to be able to welcome customers old and new to come along and dine in what can only be described as an amazing experience.
Without doubt the Indus can now be described as a ‘dress to impress’ venue, with no feature having been missed in what is a truly amazing redevelopment. With over 40 years of experience in the food industry, Indus specialises in event catering and trading restaurants. Indus was established in 1984 in Sheffield, firstly in Attercliffe and then right here in the heart of the famous village of Conisbrough, in the shadows of one of South Yorkshire’s most striking landmarks, Conisbrough Castle, built in the 11th century.

From our own personal recent experience the team at the Indus Restaurant continue to produce the finest curries cooked with unique spices. These have been experimented with and discovered over the years by Munir Ahmed, father of three sons, one of whom ‘Nas’ Ahmed, now continues to run the Conisbrough establishment, they also recently opened ‘Stuff’d by Indus’ in the centre of the village up on Church Street.
The Indus team have long since been a part of Conisbrough, having been welcomed by the community with open arms many years ago and in return the Indus have given back with many donations and sports team sponsorships over the years.

Here’s what some of the customers have said recently about their experience at the Indus…

“Absolutely blown away by the recent refurbishment — the restaurant looks stunning. The new interior feels modern, welcoming, and beautifully designed while still keeping a warm atmosphere. The food was just as impressive. Every dish was packed with flavour, freshly prepared, and presented perfectly. You can really tell there’s care and attention in both the cooking and the overall experience.”
“Lovely restaurant. Indus has been recommended to us many times but it isn’t local so it’s taken a while for us to plan a visit. It was absolutely worth it. Food was amazing. They were very accommodating making dishes to our heat/spice requirements, really friendly staff, who made us feel like we we were regulars. Will absolutely be visiting again. Can’t recommend this place enough.”
“Had such a fab time at Indus – we came to celebrate my brother’s birthday and honestly couldn’t have picked a better spot. The food was absolutely delicious – every dish was full of flavour and cooked perfectly. You can tell they really know what they’re doing in the kitchen. The staff are ace too – super friendly, attentive, and made the whole evening feel special without being over the top. They really looked after us. Also a little tip for anyone thinking of going – they do a buffet on Mondays and it’s not to be missed. Brilliant choice of dishes and great value. If you’re after proper tasty Indian food and a lovely atmosphere – Indus is definitely the best in the area. We’ll 100% be back! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️”
